What is Baptism?

Water baptism is the public expression of our personal decision to follow Jesus. Jesus was baptized when he was on the earth, and we do this to follow his example. When we are baptized as a follower of Jesus, we are submerged under water to identify with the death, burial, and resurrection of Jesus. The old is gone, and we are MADE NEW, raised to new life in Christ.
